Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge 136 and the color GREEN!

It is the first of the month again and time to post for Midnight Madness!  For my DT card for this challenge, I used both the sketch and the color green throughout my card.  My card stocks are from My Mindseye.  Flowers are by Prima.  My Magnolia images were all layered (masked together) for this picture.  My image was stamped in Momento ink and colored with Prisma colored pencils and my copic markers.  Magnolia images are amongst my favorite!  (I guess that I am in the mood for spring to be here too!  Why not grab those supplies and enter our challenge for this month!
These challenges now last the whole month so you have lots of time to submit your creations. You are welcome to submit up to four projects using the sketches provided as a guide. Pixie Cottage Sketch Challenge #110 and or Anything Goes!

For this week's Pixie Cottage Sketch I used this adorable  Pixie exclusive stamp called Bunny With Roses by Di Carubia  My cardstocks are by Echo Park Paper Company, Dots and Stripes line.  My solid brown cardstock is by bazzill.  I used my spellbinders to create my circles and my EK success punch for my computer generated sentiment.  Flowers are by Petaloo and Prima.  I stamped my bunny image with stazon ink onto watercolor paper.   My bunny was colored and blended with my Tombow markers, and Inkentense Colored pencils.  (Just love those vibrant colors!)
It is taking me awhile to type this as I just had surgery on my left hand for a "trigger thumb".  I have been having problems with my left hand since knitting and crocheting multiple knit bands and flowers for all of my family for the holidays.  As it was not getting any better the only alternative was surgery.  Hopefully the recovery will be fast!  MAKE SURE THAT YOU SIGN UP FOR MY BLOG CANDY AS IT WILL BE ENDING SOON!

Creative Card Crew Challenge Bugaboo Stamps and HUMOR!

For my design card for this challenge, I used the adorable FREEBIE (available last week) from Bugaboo Stamps.  What a cute fella and he is just perfect for those hard to do masculine/boy cards.  My image was printed out on the computer and colored and shaded with my copics.  My card stocks are from Bella Boulevard, :Halloween collection  (Yes there are Halloween image on one side of this adorable line).  My tag says:  Life is too short, Ride your best horse first.  My spellbinders were used to create my rectangle and circle backgrounds.  I had a lot of fun creating this one!

Now onto this fortnights challenge.  It is sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps, and our challenge is HUMOR!
Every week Bugaboo stamps has a different freebie!  Stop by and pick up your own image.  There are sooooo many adorable images and definitely loads with humor!

If raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing! From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects.  Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week! If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps at Totally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug.

Pixie Cottage Sketch and /or Anything But A Card!

For this week's Pixie Cottage Challenge, I made a tag for the front of my paperbag album.  I used my lovely Pixie Exclusive stamp called Snow Fairy by Alisa Ramirez.  My card stock is from K&Company florals.  She was stamped in momento ink and colored and shaded with my copics.  Diamond dust was added to her wings for bling!

On the front of my album, I put a pocket to hold my  beautiful fairy image tag.  She ended up being a wonderful element for the front!

It's Wednesday so it means another challenge here at The Pixie Cottage!

Creative Card Crew Masculine

For my Creative Card Crew card for this challenge I used one of my favorite masculine images from
The Pixie Cottage!  He is just perfect for a fella's birthday.  (my husband is a hunter so this is soooo appropriate for his birthday!)  My image was colored and shaded with copics and Tim Holtz distress ink.  Papers are from my stash.

Our sponsor for this fortnights challenge is the always wonderful Simon Says Stamp.
One of you will win a $20 gift voucher to spend in their vast on-line store.
Simon Says Stamp is the one stop craft supply store. They carry a large range of supplies that are just perfect for your crafty projects.
Our challenge for you is MASCULINE. I know, I hear all the groans. Masculine cards are hard, but the men and boys in our lives want to be on the receiving end of our crafty projects too.

Blog Candy Winners! And Super Bowl!

It has been sooooo crazy with the Super Bowl being here in INDY! Friday night I took my son downtown to experience this once in a lifetime craziness!  LMFAO had a free concert on Georgia street.  We got there
4 hours before the concert and 50 feet from the Verizon stage was already closed.  It was craziness with teenagers.  It took us over an hour to move 30 feet to the side of the street.  We ended up watching the concert on the huge screen about 100 feet from the concert.  I have to say that I thought that the LMFAO concert was really terrible.  Not too impressed with this band.  Too much vulger music.  After about half way through it we left and began the long walk to the car.  There were a lot of cool events going on through out the whole day though.  We ended up having a lot of fun but I was glad to get to the car finally.  I bet we easily walked  over 8 to 10 miles!
