Pixie Cottage Sketch and /or Anything But A Card!

For this week's Pixie Cottage Challenge, I made a tag for the front of my paperbag album. I used my lovely Pixie Exclusive stamp called Snow Fairy by Alisa Ramirez. My card stock is from K&Company florals. She was stamped in momento ink and colored and shaded with my copics. Diamond dust was added to her wings for bling!

On the front of my album, I put a pocket to hold my beautiful fairy image tag. She ended up being a wonderful element for the front!

It's Wednesday so it means another challenge here at The Pixie Cottage!

Creative Card Crew Masculine

For my Creative Card Crew card for this challenge I used one of my favorite masculine images from
The Pixie Cottage! He is just perfect for a fella's birthday. (my husband is a hunter so this is soooo appropriate for his birthday!) My image was colored and shaded with copics and Tim Holtz distress ink. Papers are from my stash.

Blog Candy Winners! And Super Bowl!

It has been sooooo crazy with the Super Bowl being here in INDY! Friday night I took my son downtown to experience this once in a lifetime craziness! LMFAO had a free concert on Georgia street. We got there
4 hours before the concert and 50 feet from the Verizon stage was already closed. It was craziness with teenagers. It took us over an hour to move 30 feet to the side of the street. We ended up watching the concert on the huge screen about 100 feet from the concert. I have to say that I thought that the LMFAO concert was really terrible. Not too impressed with this band. Too much vulger music. After about half way through it we left and began the long walk to the car. There were a lot of cool events going on through out the whole day though. We ended up having a lot of fun but I was glad to get to the car finally. I bet we easily walked over 8 to 10 miles!

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge has gone MONTHLY!!!

For my Midnight Madness card for this month's challenge, I used one of Priscilla's Froggie digitals.
What a cute image for a Valentine! I used cardstocks from Canvas Corp. I distressed all of the edges of each layer of cardstock. (I recently was given a new distressing tool and had to try it out). My adorable digi was colored and shaded with copic markers..

For my Creative Card/ Project for this week, I made a chip board album using Michelle's image Ashley. She was colored and shaded with my copics. Card stocks are from the foil package of K&Company "Sweet Nectar". Flowers are by Petaloo.

Pixie Cottage Sketch and or Embossing!

For this week's challenge over at the Pixie Cottage, I used the Pixie Cottage exclusive stamp called Girly Girl Buffy by Alisa Ramirez. My cardstocks are by Canvas Corp. After stamping my cute little bunny in momento, I then colored and shaded her with my copics. . Hint: After coloring with my copics my image was slightly faded in places, I used my .05 black fine line ZIG marker to highlight the black lines and especially brighten my image's eyes!

Pixie Cottage Challenge #101 and or For Someone Special

I am sorry that I haven't been around here very much this month! I have been over whelmed at work and have felt really under the weather. Thanks so much for stopping by! I so appreciate all of your comments!
I am finally getting my energy back and hope to be around to everyone's blog soon!
For my Pixie Cottage project for this challenge, I created a birthday journal for my son's girlfriends birthday!
My cardstocks are from Canvas Corp. I used the pixie cottage exclusive stamp Window Seat by ARTish.
As well as one of my cute little Tilda stamps. My images were stamped in Momento ink and colored and shaded with copics. My sentiment is from one of my birthday SU sets and the tag was die cut from a sizzex Tim Holtz set..

Creative Card Crew Christmas Lights

This season has been rough so far, I have been over whelmed at work and under the weather with my health, both at the same time. I think that I am finally getting the health part back on track though! Hopefully work will get back on track after the holidays!
For my card for this challenge, I used a cute digital from our sponsor Robyn's Fetish. My image was printed out of my hp printer, then colored and shaded with copics. My card stock is from SU. My ribbon is from Micheals. (I bought quite a lot of ribbon this year, what a deal at 80% off! Just gotta love those coupons!)

Now on to the challenge from this last challenge of the year!

This challenge our sponsor is the awesome Robyn's Fetish. Not only do they have beautiful digi stamps, they also have digi paper. If you have not tried digi paper before, it is really easy to use and Robyn's Fetish has some really pretty ones. Tis The Season The Creative Card Crew!

Welcome back friends to another fun challenge here with the Crew. Card Crew! For my design card for this challenge, I used my favorite Santa Stamp. Santa was stamped in momento ink and colored and high lighted with my copic markers. My ribbons were from my stash. Card stocks are by DCWV. I used my sizzex to emboss my brick background. I love the idea of non traditional colors for my Christmas cards.

For my first Midnight Madness Card I used Priscilla's adorable digital! My cardstock was from SU. My image was colored and shaded with copics. I had this cute little resin snowman and couldn't resist adding him to the front! Snowmen are such a huge part of the Christmas Season!

For my next Midnight Madness Card I used a cute little paper piecing from Agnes Moorehead. My cardstocks are from DCWV. Ribbon was from Micheals. My background was embossed with my cuttlebug. Stickles was added for bling!

Instead of a card for this week's challenge, I did a mini paper bag album. My niece really loves snowmen and this is the theme throughout the album. (I am in the process of doing one for each of my nieces for Christmas!. My image was stamped with momento ink and colored with copics. Stickles was used for bling and to highlight some of the colors. Creative Card Crew Monocromatic

For my Creative Card Crew card I used this adorable Paper Pretties dog! Isn't he sooooo cute! My cardstocks are by bazzill and my minds eye. I have a hard time doing monocromatic cards because I really LOVE color. My dog image was colored and shaded using Prisma colored pencils.

For my Midnight Madness card for this week I used this Tilda on Christmas Cardstock. Tilda was stamped with stazon and colored with prisma colored pencils.

For my design card for the Pixie Cottage, I used a Pixie exclusive stamp called Hannah with a Candle by Sandra Hammer. She was stamped with Momento ink and colored and shaded with copics and Prisma colored pencils. My cardstocks are from Mindseye Lost and Found 2 collection.

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge 127 House Mouse

For my Design card for this week's challenge, I used this adorable House Mouse Stamp. It was actually the first stamp that I purchased years ago, when I first started my paper craft adventure. I stamped my image with stazon and then colored and shaded it with my inktense watercolor pencils. I love the vibrancy of those pencils. My cardstock is from Stampin Up. I just LOVE glitter papers and cardstocks!

Creative Card Crew Fallin For You Challenge

As to my coloring, I have been playing around with my pastels and different mediums instead of always using my copics. My cardstocks are from my stash that I have had for some time. Flowers are by Prima.

Midnight Madnesss Sketch Challenge #126

It is hard to believe that it is already Tuesday and time for my Midnight Madness post. Things have been really crazy lately with my son being a Senior in High School this year, (his football team is undefeated in the season so far this year 9-0!) (We have had a few nail biting games though! We are in the sectionals and then regionals, so I am breaking out the long johns because it is getting sooooo cold on those metal stands) as well as some medical problems with hubby. With all the craziness of my life right now, it is so nice to sit down and create and Priscilla sure has some fantastic sketches. As I am trying to get a head start on Christmas cards, I just couldn't resist Tilda with my stash of new Canvas Corp card stock. This image is actually 2 stamps that I layered and stamped in stazon ink. Tilda and her gifts were colored with prima colored pencils. (yes I am giving my copics a rest!). My ribbons are from last years Bo Bunny and flowers are from my stash (most are prima, I think) Why not break out those supplies and enter one of our challenges.

I am starting my long list of Christmas present and what better gift than a Tilda album. I stamped Tilda with stazon ink. She was colored with Prima colored pencils and gamasol. Diamond dust from SU was used for sparkle. My album pages and backgrounds were created with Bo Bunny's 6x6 stacker of blue Christmas papers. Ribbons and trims were from my stash.

For my design card this week for Midnight Madness, I used this adorable stamp from Priscillastyles called
CHRISTMAS CAT DIGITAL STAMP.

My image was colored and shaded with copics. I used my spellbinder rectangle die cut for my frame. My cardstocks are from Canvas corp. They have a huge Christmas line that coordinates beautifully.
Lastly my candy peppermint brads are by doodlebug. (I had them in my stash from a couple of years ago.)

For my Midnight Madness card for this week, I used one of Priscillastyle's adorable digital images called
BAT CAT DIGITAL STAMP. I colored & shaded my image with copics. Spellbinders were used to add a window. My bats were cut out using my Eclips cutter from sizzex. I made my rhinestone pumpkin by heat embossing my pumpkin image on black card stock, then orange rhinestones were used to fill in my pumkin. I did not have the green rhinestones so I filled in the leaves with my green stickles. Spider brads were from last years Halloween stash.

For my design card for the Creative Card Crew for this challenge, I used this adorable baby stamp from the Pixie Cottage Stamps. Pixie Cottage stamps are available at Michelle's Scrapbooking . My stamp was inked up with Momento ink & colored and shaded with my copics. Flowers are by Prima and are for sale at Simon Says. Trims are from my stash. Card stock is by Bo Bunny and Bazzill.

Midnight Madness Sketch 120 and Doodle Pantry!

For my Halloween inspired Midnight Madness Card for this week, I used our sponsor's adorable digi called Quirky Bats. The image that I used was the pre colored digital.After printing it out and cutting to fit my background, I then deepened and highlighted the colors with my copics. My metal bats accents are from Making Memories "Spooky Alley" collection. My rhinestones are by Want 2 Scrap. My cardstocks are by bo bunny and graphic 45. I used Bazzill for my solids.

Creative Card Crew Anything Goes and Kenny K Digitals

For my design card this week for the Creative Card Crew, I used one of our sponsor's digital images for this unique Birthday card. My card stock is by Graphic 45 and Bazzill. My image was colored and shaded with my copics. I created these flowers using bazzill card stock and on of my spellbinder die cuts. Sentiment was computer generated. My lacey borders were achieved with my MS border punch.

Isn't this just the prettiest Image? I used the beautiful digital image called Arabella from our sponsor D'Amour Allure.She was printed out on my printer and then colored and shaded with my copic markers. I used chalk ink for the vintage shading. Pearls were from my stash. Cotton threading is from Papertray. My cardstocks are from MyMindseye. My oval frame was achieved by using my sizzex and my oval spellbinders.

Creative Card Crew Handmade Flowers & Robyn's Fetish!

For My design card for the creative card crew, I used the digital image from Robyn's Fetish called simply Apple Cider. I printed my digital image out and then colored and shaded with my copics. This card's image is actually 2 layers for dimension. My card stocks are bazzill and Graphic 45. My handmade flower was made by cutting 2 circles (one smaller than the other) and wadding them both up. (You can spray lightly with a fine water mist if your cardstock is too heavy and it relaxes the card stock enough to make it easy to manipulate)
A brad was then added to the center. This is one of my favorite flowers as it is sooooooo easy!

We just had a DT call and we have added 4 new designers to our fantastic team. The new ladies are:

For my design card for this week at Midnight Madness, I used this cute digital from Kenny K. I needed a card for a younger family member and thought that this one was just perfect for the sketch. I colored & shaded my image with copics, my papers are some oldies that I wanted to use up. My flowers were by prima, and were even already colored. I used those spellbinders as well as some SU ink for the edges. After I was done coloring her, I cut her out and added a layer for dimension.

Midnight Madness Sketch # 114 Petaloo Flowers & Stamp & Create!

For this week's DT project and card, I used this adorable fairy image from Stamp and Create. She was colored and shaded with copics. My papers and card-stocks are from Bazzill and my stash (I am trying to use up some of the mountain that I have!) For my flowers I used our sponsors flowers that I colored with chalks, SU real red ink pad and my dk red copic markers. I added the ribbon flowers with the rhinestones for some added bling from my stash.
Such sad news...Lovely Linda will be leaving our DT family for a crafting opportunity that has presented itself. She will be missed! I know that all of us wish her the best & will be stalking her blog for looks at her wonderful creations!

Creative Crew ChallengeAnimal Antics, Wags and Whiskers, Sure Cuts A Lot News and CHA Summer Show!

I am at CHA this week and I had my post scheduled with blogger and then just found out that it didn't post yet... so I just went on manually and posted. Sorry for the delay!
For my design card for the challenge over at the Creative Card Crew, I used our sponsor's stamp (Wags and Whiskers) called Bubble Fun. This adorable image was colored and shaded with my copics. My card stocks are by Minds Eye and Bazzill. My flowers are by Petaloo and were colored with spritz spray.

New Bella Boulevard paper lines from CHA! Wow soooo many wonderful new papers and card-stocks! Here are a few pictures that I took with my phone of some sample layouts that were made with the new lines!

This is a wonderful new Bella Boulevard line that we bought card stocks and embellishments from! They are soooo darn adorable.

This adorable is one of her new Bella Papers Fall lines! I just love the versatility.

I stopped by the Petaloo Flower booth today and met one of the owners of this fantastic line. Wow what a nice group of folks. I had to keep looking and looking. There is so much to look at! This is a tag sample that was made with their new Halloween 3-D stickers. Sooooo adorable!

Also today, I fell in love with the new Sizzex ECLIPE. Sizzex just signed a exclusive contract with SURE CUTS A LOT! Wow what a fantastic machine. I am definitely upgrading from Provo to Sizzex. The cartridges are a lot more affordable and the software that is coming out within a month is sooooo incredible!
I have to say that this summer CHA show in Chicago has been so much fun!

For my flowers, I colored them with my copics, and then took off some of the color close to the center with my blending pen. Stickles were added on the petals and around the edges. After drying I then used 3 coats of crystal lacquer on the flowers while letting them dry between coats. In person they look like china flowers. My cardstocks are by Mindseye. Flowers are by Petaloo.

For my Pixie Cottage card for this week I used Glorious Greenhouse Digital Image by ARTish . After stamping my magnolia image, I shrank her down to the right size for my background. All of my images were colored and shaded with m y copics. After coloring Tilda, she was then sat upon the gardening table. M y spellbinder oval shapes were then used to cut and emboss my garden scene. Flowers and butterflies were added from my stash as well as that touch of rilbbon. I just love all of the background stamps and digital images that are available at the Pixie Cottage.

Midnight Madness Sketch # 112 Petaloo Flowers Color Me Crazy!

For my Midnight Madness Project for this week I actually had a slight mishap and had to start over with this adorable fold out album. My image is from Priscillastyles. I colored and shaded it with my copics. My flowers are all by petaloo. I colored them with my Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, my copics and stickles. These wonderful flowers can be colored with just about any medium and give a lot of versatility.

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #111 Petaloo Color Me Crazy Flowers!

It is Tuesday again and that means that it is time for my Midnight Madness Design card or project. Today I have both for you. I used Priscilla's digital for this beautiful card,"Bird Cluster Stamp" I made a matching gift jar complete with chocolates. The design team got to play with coloring petaloo "Color me crazy" flowers. I used several techniques for coloring my wonderful flowers.(More techniques to come on the upcoming weeks) One of my favorite techniques is simply coloring them with my copic markers. It is soooo easy to get everything to match. These wonderful flowers absorb the ink beautifully. I do color my flowers with the broad tip on my copics as the ink is more evenly absorbed. My roses on my card were opened up some and then colored as I like them more open than as a bud. These flowers are sooooo easy to be creative with. For my jar, I just simply layered my colored flowers and then topped them off with a bird jeweled piece. (I used fabric tac adhesive as it holds really well) My cardstocks were by bazzill and mindseye. My lace was from my stash!

For my Midnight Madness card for this week I used a Kenny K image from Whimsey Stamps. This cowgirl image is not my usual cutsie preference but she was a lot of fun to color and shade. For the coloring I used my copic markers as well as some SU ink that was sponged around the edges. My card-stocks are from my stash. I have been looking for the perfect image for this wonderful shiny striped black and red card-stock. I colored my rhinestones black for added shine and bling as well as some other button embellishments from my stash.

Pixie Cottage Sketch #72 and/or anything but a card

For my Pixie Cottage Project for this week I used the stamp Love Endures All Things by ARTish.My project is a wedding album keepsake box that I am making for a friend of my son who is getting married this June. Her absolute favorite color is pink! My cardstock is by Mindseye Laundry Line. My image was stamped and then colored and shaded with my copics. There will be a matching folded album that goes in this box that is 8X8 so the dimensions of my box is about 9x9.

Creative Card Crew DIVA

For my project this week for the Creative Card Crew, I used Tilda on the front of my paperbag album! She certainly is a DIVA! She was colored with my copics. My papers on my album are from a new SU line.

Midnight Madness Sketch #106

For my Midnight Madness Design Card for this week I used this wonderful grape digital stamp from Priscillastyles store. My grape image was colored and shaded with my copics. My metal leaf with beads was from my stash. (I saved it from a candle that I had already used and threw away). My cardstocks are from Bazzill and Minds Eye. My solid cardstock was embossed with my cuttlebug folder (scroll) I popped up my grape image for a more 3-D look.
